Exercise Physiology, a branch of Exercise Science, explores the body's immediate physiological responses to single-bout exercise and its adaptations to repeated exercise training.
At Dr. Kim's EXE PHYSIO LAB, our research focuses on uncovering the physiological roles and biological mechanisms of exercise, specifically in:
Improving aging-related vascular dysfunctions, such as atherosclerosis.
Preventing aging-related muscular atrophy, known as sarcopenia.
Enhancing physical fitness and addressing obesity across different age groups.
Developing training methodologies to optimize athletic performance.
